This newly created role will provide the successful candidate with a mandate to drive an improvement agenda throughout the group.Based at the New Hope Group Corporate Office in Brookwater (with a move planned to Brisbane CBD in 12-18 months), there will be a need for regular interaction with our operating sites near Toowoomba, Moranbah, Ipswich and the Hunter Valley. Reporting to the General Manager Projects and Operational Improvement, the Manager – Operational Improvement will assist in developing and delivering New Hope’s operational improvement plan. Key aspects of the role include:Building positive relationships with key site stakeholders focusing on service provision.Establishing, supporting and maintaining effective group Communities Of Practice.Evaluating existing physical reporting methods, software and data management. Developing and implementing a whole of business physical reporting system that gathers site operating data and can be used for setting performance metrics.Implementing a plan for group-wide standards, appropriate data whare-housing and reporting.Providing an in house Business Analysis capability for feasibility assessments, capital justifications and competing capital investment alternatives.Identifying and prioritising opportunities related to the application of proven, advanced and new technologies in our operations.Obtaining broad support for the department’s implementation plans and aligning them to New Hope Group’s strategic direction.You will need:A tertiary qualification in engineering, technology or a relevant fieldMBA, financial qualification or a demonstrated experience in profit centre control and a firm understanding of financial modelling.A track record in a leadership role in mining and/or the resources sector.Very well-developed communications skills – including the ability to be persuasive with your ideas and the capacity to engage strongly with stakeholders.New Hope is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment with the core objective that our people go home at the end of the day unharmed.  Our company policies are based on principles of merit and equal opportunity.
